I have always found the courtesy and professional service to be consistently excellent. It is with great pleasure that I take this opportunity to share how wonderful the medical staff who provide medical care to my brother… I am my brother’s health proxy and… Dr. Nadine Halko has been my brother’s physician for the past year or so… I must say that Dr. Halko not only welcomed me after my brother gave permission, but embraced the opportunity to explain in detail the outcome of blood tests and a comprehensive plan moving forward… Also… caring and professional…RN Carmella Abdul-Malik… in addition, Chauntelle Miller, who is the Advanced Medical Support Assistant, was welcoming, helpful, and respectful to anyone and everyone who entered that unit. After leaving each appointment, I walked away with a renewed hope and faith with the medical profession and that my brother’s medical needs will continue to be met.

This is… regarding the care, attention, and professionalism which I have encountered in my experiences with the VA in Beacon (Castle Point). Yesterday, I was in dire need of medical attention…I made a 2:23 PM call… which was answered by Diane DeRosia, LPN…Usually Felicia Muller, RN, answers, and is very professional, as is Dr. Kandala… and Diane proceeded to get me in and document my call and severity. From there, I had EXCELLENT care in the Urgent Care unit. Dr. Sexton was 100% focused upon helping me, initially relieving my … pain, as well as providing me ample tests to ascertain the reasons for my pain. Others involved…Kevin Burgher, the attending RN, was superb, as well as the Nurses in the unit. The X-Ray Technician (Janet Delgado) and the Sonogram Tech (Christine Ringgenberg) were very helpful and courteous as well. Overall, I have been the recipient of professional and seemingly attentive service in my visits to the VA.

I am a 77 year old Veteran and I have been going to Castle Point VA for many years. Recently…Doctors Dy and Cho were very helpful and recommended me for physical therapy…. …My therapist was Maryann Barnhart, PT. She is a dedicated professional and caring individual who genuinely wants to help the Veterans. She is a real asset to the team. Contrary to so many negative reports in the media, I found the therapy at Castle Point Veterans Hospital to be excellent….Thank you and God bless all at Castle Point.
